- [May 2025] Dr Daniel Silva Luna presented the results of Work Package 1 (WP1) of the Wiss-KKI project at the PCST 2025 conference (Public Communication of Science and Technology) in Aberdeen, Scotland. The talk was titled „Navigating the Transition to ComAI-Driven Science Communication: A Quality Framework“, and outlined key insights from the project’s first phase, focusing on emerging standards for high-quality science communication using communicative AI systems.
- [February 2025] Stakeholder Board Meeting:
Our first stakeholder board meeting brought together researchers, communicators, and members of the public to discuss the evolving role of ComAI in science communication. Key topics included public trust in ComAI-generated science content, media framings of ComAI, and strategies for ensuring quality in ComAI-assisted science communication. - [7 May 2024] Presentation to Funders from BMBF:
Professor Dr. Helena Bilandzic delivered a presentation at the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in Berlin, outlining the various work packages and the progress achieved in the initial months of the project. The presentation was well received and marked a successful engagement with the funders. - [7 March 2024] Project Launch – Kick-off Meeting:
The Wiss-KKI project (Wissenschaftskommunikation mit und über Kommunikative Künstliche Intelligenz / Science Communication with and about Communicative Artificial Intelligence) officially launched with a virtual kick-off meeting. This was the first time the entire team met, connecting via Zoom to introduce themselves and discuss the project’s objectives. The meeting set a strong foundation for collaboration, making for an engaging and productive start.
